George Whyte

George Whyte is a business and leadership executive with thirty plus years of experience encompassing information technology, information security, business intelligence, business development and software development. His experiences and accomplishments have provided him with a unique 360-degree view of the business environment, having been a customer, technology partner and technology vendor.

He considers himself to be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills who produces high quality results. His skills allow him to work effectively with individuals at all levels to create win-win scenarios. He is results-oriented, a transformational leader, team player and mentor, with a passion for excellence and the effective use of technology.

In the first phase of his career, he started as a software developer working with clients across several industries to deliver innovative, robust applications across mainframe and mid-range computing platforms. These clients included: NCR Jamaica Limited and Alumina Partners of Jamaica Limited.

With demonstrated success in application development, in the second phase, George engaged in the development of HR and Payroll application software products for Personal Computers. These products were implemented at several leading regional entities, including Scotiabank in both Jamaica and T&T. He also championed the sale and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions at First Citizens Bank, Bank of St. Lucia, Associated Brands Industries Limited and Guyana Revenue Authority amongst others.

In his role as a business analyst/consultant, George conducted significant consulting assignments for leading companies in Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. In the third phase of his career, he has been leading an IT consulting company focused on critical digital transformation solutions, including:

• Cybersecurity and Information Security Solutions: which empower organisations across all industry sectors to proactively detect, respond and recover from cyber threats.

• Financial Software Solutions: to modernise operations, streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Business Intelligence, AI and Analytics: to transform data into actionable insights that drive informed and impactful decision-making.

• IT Managed and Professional Services: to support organisations in aligning technology with business goals to achieve measurable results.
